The Emergency Management Network utilizes two different satellites to provide communications: AMC 1 and Horizons 1. 

Our Standard Package, comprised of a satellite down-link and a LAN path to the EMnet servers for up-link, relies on AMC 1.  With coverage throughout nearly all of North America, AMC 1 serves our customers in both the United States and parts of Canada with the footprint featured below:

Horizons 1, which provides coverage for our VSAT Packages and all of our 2-way satellite communications, enables users to both send and receive messages via satellite, independent of terrestrial connections.  The footprints (both vertical & horizontal) for Horizons 1 are featured below, as are the satellite frequency plans:
